Mori Tozan (1938~) Born into one of the six main families that produce traditional Bizen ware in Okayama Prefecture. Tozan now has been recognized as a traditional craftsman by the Japanese government. The status is one rank below living national treasure and only select artisans are given this title. Tozan currently has his kilns both in Imbe and at Furozan where he is researching traditional forms and styles of older Bizen ware pottery.
