Legendary LA female street turned studio artist, Rebecca Midwood known as Becca.
A wonderful and rare original painting by street artist Becca AKA Rebecca Midwood, Dutch Girl. Becca has been covering walls in downtown LA since the 1980s. Her paste-ups of pretty little girls and innocent-looking women as well as young children, all signed in crayon with the child-like, lowercase ‘becca’, captured the imagination of the public long before this reclusive artist’s work made it into any art gallery.
Some would say Becca was ahead of an art-world curve. Her women (she refers to them as "ladies") and children began appearing on Los Angeles streets years before the British artist Banksy gained fame for barnstorming stencils across the walls of London.
