A lovely 19th century Qing Dynasty hand-carved heavy elm wooden bench, refined workmanship with rich patina and figural wood, featuring a decorative cloud shaped apron called a ruyi, a decorative wooden curved symbol for good fortune. The table is supported by square legs with double stretchers. Bought from Evelyn's Gallery, San Francisco, 1970s.
