Antique two-part Japanese tansu from the Meiji period, late 19th century. The drawer fronts are zelkova wood (keyaki), and the body is cedar (sugi). The beautiful hand-forged iron hardware features cranes and turtle motifs.
Can be separated for two , with equal heights of 22.5"
